Job Advertisement: Team Manager, KCB Rugby Club

Job Purpose:

To provide strategic leadership and manage the KCB Rugby Team effectively, ensuring alignment with the Club Committee’s direction and maintaining high standards of team management, player registration, and compliance. The Team Manager will also collaborate closely with the KCB Bank Marketing department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate registration of all players and maintain up-to-date

  • Coordinate and oversee all travel and accommodation arrangements for the

  • Supervise team training and matches, creating a competitive and supportive

  • Manage all team apparel and playing equipment, ensuring they are well-

  • Represent the team at relevant meetings and handle any issues that arise during

  • Prepare and monitor the team budget, ensuring adherence to the approved financial

  • Liaise between the Club and KCB Bank, facilitating smooth communication and

  • Ensure compliance with KCB Rugby’s Constitution, policies, and

  • Address and manage any disciplinary issues according to established

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and

  • Monitor and report on team performance metrics and provide recommendations for

  • Maintain and update the “Team Register” and “Attendance Register,” ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Manage leave requests and track leave balances, ensuring that the team is adequately staffed at all

Experience & Proficiencies:

  • Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Team Manager in a Division One Rugby Club.

  • Relevant qualifications in Administration and Management

  • Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity in both personal and professional

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with partners and

  • Ability to work independently while adhering to established policies and

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of self-

  • Experience in coordinating travel and managing team

  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial

  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong stakeholder

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a professional
