KCB RFC Charged Ahead Of Floodlit Title Defence

KCB RFC will start their title defense against Kenya Harlequins in the first quarter-final of this year’s edition which will be held at the Impala Club on October 29th, 2022. The tournament will be the first competitive event the team will participate in the Fifteens version of the game since the 2021/22 Kenya Cup season.

KCB RFC last won the title in 2019 before it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament is dubbed the Kenya Cup curtain raiser which teams will be using to test their fitness levels and competitiveness before the start of the 2022/23 Kenya Cup season.

KCB RFC Coach Mariko Mushilla said: “It has been more than six months since we last played 15’s version of the game. As KCB, we are daring our opponents for a face-off, and we are hopeful that we will bag maximum points to enable us to retain the title.”
