KCB Rugby Club which was formed in 1989 has dominated the local Kenyan rugby scene over the years winning the Kenya Cup titles 8times, Enterprise Cups 4times, National Sevens Circuit, Floodlit tournaments among others. The Kenya Cup is a top-flight club rugby union competition organized by the Kenya Rugby Union. The club bowed out of the 2021/22 Kenya Cup season in the semi-finals losing 24-19 to Menengai Oilers. Curtis Olago is currently the head coach of the KCB Fifteens side assisted by Denis ‘Ironman’ Mwanja. The duo have been instrumental in spearheading the team to its successes. In the 2022 National Sevens Circuit, the bankers were crowned 1st runners-up garnering 107points. The team won the opening leg of the 2022 National Sevens Circuit at the George Mwangi Kabeberi Sevens in Nairobi. KCB players have played a huge role in the National teams both in the Sevens and Fifteens version of the game. The club is proud to have players like; Johnstone Olindi, Levy Amunga, and Alvin ‘Buffa’ Otieno who play for Shujaa and have participated in World Rugby Sevens competitions. The 2022 Rugby World Cup qualifiers in France had KCB RFC players pushing the Simbas to the finals despite a 36-0 loss to Namibia.
