What inspired you to play rugby?

Started in High School, rugby players looked huge and were popular, I wanted to have such status too.


Where are you from? Which hood do you represent?

Mowlem Eastlands.


How has KCB Bank supported or influenced your rugby career?

My association with KCB rugby has been life changing both on and off pitch. Aside from being active on the pitch, I have been able to secure employment as a Network engineer at KCB group.


What is your proudest moment/achievement in your rugby journey?

Winning floodies 2023 and ESS back to back title 2023 and 2024.


What does a typical training day look like for you?

I Wake up at 4:30 am and prepare for the day, commute to the Den and arrive before 6 am. Put in the morning session from 6am to 7 am. Freshen up and leave for work. In the evening, I leave work at 4:30 pm arrive at the Den at 5 pm and prepare for the evening session. Between 5:30pm and 7:30 pm evening session is done, freshen up after practice and head home. I mostly arrive home at 9pm. I Hit the sheets by 10pm.


What is your pre-match routine before a game?

Take a cold shower then I listen to reggae or rap music.


Current favorite song?

Never dis di man by Sanchez.


Who is your sports role model? Can be any sport, not specifically rugby

LeBron James.


What is the next big goal you're working towards?

Win a Kenya Cup title, I'm yet to put my hands on it.


When you're not playing rugby, what do you enjoy doing?

Dog walks, learning a skill, Gaming🎮


What is your life motto/mantra/guiding principle?

If it can be done today, do it today, tomorrow will take care of itself.


Where would you like to compete one day? We might just make it happen

Play international rugby for my country.


What would you tell a young athlete looking up to you?

As you focus on your rugby career put more emphasis on your academic papers. An athlete career is dog years, you will need those papers after your playing days.
