My chess journey began when I was 8 year sold.My dad introduced me to the game,and I later joined myschool’s chess club.

I reside in Kitale,a rural town in Trans Nzoia County,Kenya.

The partnership with KCB has provided opportunities to showcase my talent by participating in
tournaments,bothlocally and internationally.
BiggestAchievementSoFar:
I have been the National Champion in my age category.My success extends beyond local competitions, having qualified for international chess competitions.
My biggest achievement was representing Kenya at the African Youth Chess Championship in Ghana,
where I earned a silver medal in my first international tournament. I also achieved 1st position in Africa in the Under-10 Girls category at the Africa Individual Chess Championship, winning a gold medal, which was an even bigger accomplishment. Additionally, I represented my country and Africa in Panama at the World Individual Chess Championship with pride.
TrainingRoutine:
I receive assistance from CM Ben Magana, who is also my mentor and a KCB player.His mentorship
has been crucial in my chess development.I also work hard on myown, reading chessbooks to ensure I performwell.
Pre-CompetitionRitual:
My journey is characterized by hardwork, resilience, and a nun wavering passion for chess. Before a big tournament, I solve chess puzzles, prepare my openings, and try to stay calm and relaxed,ready to win.
