What Inspired You To Pursue This Sport?

In the year 2019 when I joined high school, I was introduced in by coach Justin Kigwari of Kwanthanze High School who took the responsibility to train me since I knew nothing to do with Volleyball, he encouraged me that I was capable of playing Volleyball, inspired me to always believe in myself, be disciplined and above all put God first.


Where are you from? Which hood do you represent?

Bungoma County, Mt Elgon Constituency.


How has KCB Bank supported or influenced your playing career?

I really appreciate KCB Bank for the financial support that has really played a bigger role in my sports career.


What is your proudest moment/achievement in your playing journey?

Travelling abroad for bigger competitions in countries like Tunisia being one of the achievements and the proudest moments in my sporting journey .


What does a typical training day look like for you?

It's always between four to five hours and sometimes even more, and we do enjoy engaging in different drills during the training.


What is your pre-match routine before a game?

Warm ups are the most important preparation process, we do dance the Luhya songs to bring out confidence .


Current favorite song?

local music more so the Luhya songs got the vibes.


Who is your sports role model? Can be any sport.

Mercy Moim.


What is the next big goal you're working towards?

Playing for the Kenya National team and thereafter playing as a professional player in professional clubs abroad.


When you're not playing, what do you enjoy doing?

Engaging in fun activities and listening to music.


What is your life motto/mantra/guiding principle?

I believe in my strengths.

What would you tell a young athlete looking up to you?

Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence, train hard, and believe in yourselves.
